Whodunit week ahead: Norse Brewing hosts a ticketed Murder Mystery Night Saturday, Joyner Park’s Family Movie Night series wraps its summer run the same evening with GOAT on the big screen, and Bud’s Tavern in Youngsville has The Roguez plugging in at 8. Down the road, Koka Booth pours the two-day Beer, Bourbon & BBQ Festival, and football is officially back: NC State opened fall camp yesterday, and Belichick’s Tar Heels start today. The weather is doing its part too, with a gorgeous dry stretch through Saturday before storms crash back in Sunday. Front-load your weekend accordingly.

An interactive murder mystery in the taproom: play detective, interrogate suspects, and solve the case over a pint. The Triangle’s all-you-care-to-taste smoke-and-sip weekend: 60-plus beers, 40-plus bourbons, and a hillside of BBQ at Koka Booth. Friday is the rowdier session, Saturday the fuller festival day.
