Let's get to it.

Dave & Egle

Josh & Carrie Love Filming Weddings (And It Shows!)

Timeless, Natural, Heirloom Films

Meet the local husband and wife team behind Covert Films. They get genuinely excited about your big day, and it comes through in every film they create. After 200+ weddings, they're still thrilled to capture each couple's unique story.

They're not just standing behind cameras during your ceremony. They're silently cheering when you nail your vows and grinning when they catch those perfect candid moments. Their natural, timeless style means your film will look amazing years from now, not dated like yesterday's trends.

Since they handle both photography and videography, you get one beautiful story without managing multiple vendors. They provide every couple with an optional pre-marriage session here in Wake Forest so you feel totally comfortable on your wedding day.

Want to work with people who are as excited about your wedding as you are? Check out CovertOpFilms.com and mention The WYRe sent you! You might end up with two new friends who happen to create incredible films.

THE DIGEST

Have you always wanted to name a park?

Here's your chance to leave a lasting legacy in Wake Forest. The town is creating a new park around the historic Ailey Young House, our oldest African American landmark, and they want your input on both the design and the name.

This isn't just another municipal meeting. It's an opportunity to shape how Wake Forest honors its heritage while creating meaningful green space for future generations. Drop by this evening (June 26, 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Alston-Massenburg Center, 416 N. Taylor St.) to review concept plans and influence something that will define our town's character for decades.

Rubber ducks in Rolesville???

Get your duck calls ready!

The Rolesville Chamber of Commerce is “releasing” some rubber ducks around Rolesville starting June 28th until August 3rd. As you check out Downtown Rolesville, if you see a duck, Rolesville Chamber of Commerce is encouraging “hunters” to post pictures with the duck on Facebook and Instagram using the hashtags #rolesvillechamber and #rolesvillechamberduckhunt2025.

Check in with the business hiding the duck and there might just be something in it for you…
