Friday Night on White is back for the last of the 2025 season this week, bringing live music, local eats, and that perfect late-summer energy. From farmers’ markets to neighborhood concerts and even a quirky book fair, this week has plenty to fill your calendar.

Bring your family and friends, a picnic, and a blanket, and settle in for some foot-tapping, finger-snapping good times!

ARTS Wake Forest and the Parks, Recreation & Cultural Resources Department will present free concerts at E. Carroll Joyner Park on Sunday, Sept. 7, and Sunday, Sept. 14. Both performances will get underway at 5:30 p.m. in the Joyner Park Amphitheater - situated adjacent to the shade provided by the majestic pecan grove.

Food and refreshments will be available for purchase, or bring your own picnic. Food and dessert trucks scheduled for September 14 include Jolly's Catering, Smash Masters, Not Just a Fry Guy, Kona Ice, and Lumpy’s Ice Cream.

A fast-rising force, The Phoebes Band, performs the perfect mix of Rock & Blues with soulful vocals, screaming guitars, and a driving rhythm section. The band was the winner of the 2024 WRAL Voters’ Choice Awards: Best Local Band of the Triangle and the winner of the 2024 Bands and Clubs of the Triangle: Best Local Band of the Year.
