Good morning, W.Y.R. neighbors! We hope y’all have been thawing out with these random warm days we’ve been having. We, for one, busted out the shorts and hamburgers on the grill. Here’s to hoping the groundhog was lying and we’re in for a short Winter.

Taylor Street Park Playground is getting a facelift

Renovations on Taylor Street Park Playground in Wake Forest have begun and are continuing through late spring. While the renovations are underway, the park will be closed. Over the next few days, crews will start removing the existing playground features and preparing for the construction of the new and improved playground by assembling equipment and supplies onsite. Construction is expected to begin in early spring.

Upon completion, the new playground will feature:

• Ramped playground structures that offer ease of access for people of all mobility ranges

• Climbers, ladders, sensory experiences, play panels, rockers, swings, slides, and balance challenges

• Seating and shaded areas
